Additional details provided by Joseph D Korman: "The elevated line was opened in 1919. The tracks on the street was railroad type rail as shown before t
hat. The girder rail used on paved streets would have been replaced with the paving. BTW, for a time before the el was completed, the street track had elevated trains, trolleys, and LIRR trains."
