There is a rumor that the Parks Department plan to replace all the boards with cement.  The main reason was the constant maintenance is not efficient with the current economic situation in the city.  This renovation will be disastrous to the boardwalk community as boards and screws will be carted away in some malodorous dumpsters.  There is no plan to relocate the screws that will be uprooted.  The government has decided that the careful removal and relocation of the screws is hardly worth the dollars required.  A spokesman commented,"Once you are screwed you cannot get unscrewed."So fate just waits for our little friends who are stuck and cannot leave.
